Health and Physical Education
Health and Physical Education focuses on individual decision making and behaviour, to promote balanced emotional, mental, physical and social development. We aim to develop students' knowledge, skills, values and attitudes in order to make informed judgments and decisions about health and healthy behaviour.
Each year, from kindergarten to year 6, we provide students with a minimum of 25-30 minutes per day of moderate to vigrous physical activity as part of planned physical education and sport programs.
Latham Primary has partnered with a number of primary schools within our area to create interschool sporting competitions. Students from year 3 to 6 form teams to compete against other students in their age group in games such as netball, AFL, soccer, cricket and touch football.
